The English FA has rescinded the red card issued to Arsenal defender, Gabriel, during the club's Premier League loss to Chelsea last weekend.
The defender was given a straight red card for a purported foul on Chelsea forward, Diego Costa after the pair clashed during the 2-0 defeat of the Gunners at the Stamford Bridge.
The away side appealed the red card after the game and reports have it that the club's request has been granted by the English FA following a consideration of the incident.
A statement issued by the FA and obtained from Arsenal.com, reads:
"Arsenal's claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Gabriel has been upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. "The player's three-match suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect.
"Gabriel was dismissed for violent conduct during the game against Chelsea on Saturday [19 September 2015]. "The player is currently subject to a separate FA charge of improper conduct in relation to Saturday's game and has until 6pm on Thursday [24 September 2015] to reply."
