FG Gets Aggressive With Cattle Rustlers Banditry In The North

In a new development the Nigeria government has ordered the military to begin an onslaught against cattle rustlers and bandits that have become a major security challenge in some northern states.
An order was given after a marathon meeting between eight governors from the North West and North Central states, heads of security agencies and federal government officials yesterday at the Ministry of Defence, Abuja.
The meeting was called by President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the security situation in the region.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) Danladi Kifasi, assured the Nigerian public that the state of insecurity in the north, would be a thing of the past.
He expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting, saying that the modalities being put in place would help to bring peace to the region.
