The football legend was delighted with his return to the starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes in Barcelona's 6-1 win against Roma in the Champions League.
After scoring twice on Tuesday night and he said he was glad to play his first full game for two months.
He said: 'I'm happy because of the final score and for the fact that I was able to play 90 minutes. I am taking it one step at a time and luckily it's going well.
He also dismissed talks of the team depending on him totally and revealed he enjoyed watching his teammates perform while he was out injured:
'We never said that the team was totally reliant on me and it showed while I was out. It was tough for me being out but I enjoyed myself watching the way the team played.:
'People say the forward line plays well because we are all friends but it's not just us three. The whole team gets on and there is a good atmosphere.
'We try to be professional but to enjoy ourselves too and get on in the day to day. We are united and we know what we have to do on the pitch.'
