Argentina midfielder Pastore to return to Paris despite losing friends in massacre

The Argentine was not in France when terrorists claimed over 100 lives in a string of attacks, and confessed that the idea of returning after hearing the tragic news was difficult.

Paris Saint-Germain play maker Javier Pastore has admitted that he is returning to the French capital with some trepidation, following the tragic events of Friday evening.

The Argentine lost two friends in the terrorist attacks, which claimed over 100 lives in distinct parts of Paris.

And he affirmed that it would not be easy to go back to his adopted home after a week on international duty.

"I have two friends who died in France, they lived three blocks from my house and they had gone to the concert," he told Teleocho, referring to the shootings in the Bataclan theatre.

"I have to go back, I work there and I have a responsibility. It is going to be moving.

"Pastore was unable to take part in Argentina's latest World Cup qualifiers, having failed to recover from a thigh injury.

Coach Gerardo Martino subsequently released the midfielder from his squad, which will take on Colombia on Tuesday having drawn with Brazil 1-1.
