In a recent development, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to submit an improved £21million offer for Saido Berahino in the next 48 hours.
The club believe the offer will be enough to clinch a swoop for the West Bromwich Albion hitman they have chased all summer.
The England u-21 international is seen as the man to help carry the side's goal burden alongside star striker Harry Kane.
After seeing an £18m offer, comprised of a £15m down payment with a further £3m in add-ons, rejected last week, the White Hart Lane club will return with an increased bid for the forward early this week.
Club chairman Daniel Levy is confident the deal will be enough to secure the forward ahead of the weekend clash against Everton.
