The Brazil international secured a €30 million move to Anfield in June, with the 23-year-old becoming a part of a major recruitment drive by the Reds this summer.
And Rodgers has little doubt that Firmino will prove to be a hit in the Premier League, having scored 10 goals and provided 12 assists for Hoffenheim in all competitions in 2014-15.
"Roberto Firmino is a top class player," Rodgers told reporters at a press conference in Thailand ahead of a series of pre-season friendlies.
"Of course there is no pressure. He will come into the Premier League, it takes a bit of time to adapt. But he has all the traits we want from a player. He works very hard."
