Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has denied there is any rift with Raheem Sterling and has confirmed the England international is on the verge of a move to Manchester City.
The England international had threatened to go on strike before twice calling in sick to training in a bid to force a move away from the club, with Sterling's agent, Aidy Ward, claiming there had been a "breakdown in trust" between player and manager .
"The situation is very simple," he told reporters at a press conference in Bangkok. "The club has agreed a deal with another club for Raheem subject to a medical that'll go through.
"Raheem and I have always remained very strong in our relationship and that remained the case when we left. There is no issue there."
