Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has revealed that the club are keen to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, if the Premier League side are willing to lower their asking price.
Balotelli joined the Anfield outfit last summer in a £16million move from AC Milan but has struggled since.
The 24-year-old scored just one league goal in 16 appearances under Brendan Rodgers last term as the likes of Raheem Sterling were preferred in attack.
Rodgers has subsequently bolstered his attacking options thissummer with Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings all coming in.
And with Balotelli's future increasingly looking to be away from Merseyside, Liverpool have set an asking price of £7.1m (€10m) in a bid to sell the striker - a fee that Ferrero feels should be lower.
