Manuel Pellegrini says Manchester City's £49million signing of Raheem Sterling means they have captured 'one of the best attacking players in world football'.
Sterling completed his move on Tuesday after City finally agreed a deal with Liverpool on the weekend and the winger has signed a five-year contract worth £180,000 a week.
'Raheem Sterling is one of the best attacking players in world football, and I am very much looking forward to him joining our squad out in Australia later this week,' Pellegrini said.

'He is a young player with outstanding ability, and I am sure the Manchester City fans will be very excited about seeing him in action for the team.
'City failed with two previous bids for the 20-year-old, who was pictured leaving a Manchester hospital earlier on Tuesday, but made the key breakthrough in discussions for the forward over the weekend.
The deal will see City pay their Barclays Premier League rivals a guaranteed £45m, while an additional £4m in add-ons has also been negotiated.
Liverpool are said to be satisfied with the obtainability of the extras and are confident Sterling will meet the targets.
