Nigerian Hollywood Actor David Oyelowo lands huge James Bond 007 gig

He is already an accomplished actor.But David Oyelowo has now been confirmed as the new voice of James Bond, which will feature in an audiobook version of Anthony Horowitz's novel Trigger Mortis.

The acclaimed star, who is famed for his role in Spooks, was personally asked to take the role by the estate of Bond author Ian Fleming.

The 29-year-old gushed about how 'really special' it was to have been specifically asked to take on the coveted character.

'I am officially the only person on planet Earth who can legitimately say: 'I am the new James Bond' - even saying that name is the cinematic equivalent of doing the 'to be or not to be' speech,' he told The Guardian.

'I was asked specifically by the Fleming estate, which is really special.'
