Eddie Redmayne Wins Best Actor At 2015 Oscars

Eddie was beyond excited to take home the Oscar for Best Actor at the 2015 awards show on Feb. 22, and he even gave his wife a huge victory kiss! Eddie's portrayal of Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything' was on point — he totally deserved the win!
We're so excited! Eddie Redmaynewas awarded the Best Actor Oscar, as expected, for his portrayal ofStephen HawkinginThe Theory Of Everything. As he held back tears on stage, Eddie dedicated his award to those suffering from ALS.

Eddie looked so adorable — and he's so humble. He admitted that he realizes how "lucky" he is, and he shook his entire body a few times because he was so shocked. At the end of his speech, Eddie thanked his wife and said a new "fella" (the Oscar) will be joining them at home.
It was such an intense category, but Eddie deserved to win.
This is not the actor's first win for the role. He took home the same award at the BAFTAs, the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Other nominees includedBenedict Cumberbatch(The Imitation Game),Bradley Cooper(American Sniper),Michael Keaton(Birdman) andSteve Carell(Foxcatcher).
