Serena makes it Grand Slam No 18 as she crushes her pal Wozniacki in US Open final

Serena Williams beat Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets to claim her third consecutive US Open singles crown in New York. The American world No 1 overcame the Danish 10th seed 6-3, 6-3 to join Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert on 18 career Grand Slams as she chases down Steffi Graf's record of 22. Williams has now won her home major six times.
